Mexico
I traveled to Mexico nine years ago where my family and I spent one week near Playa Del Carmen. My most vivid memories from our vacation come from two particular adventures we went on.
First, was a tour we took of various cenotes (sinkholes) that have emerged all over the Yucatàn Peninsula. Their beauty was mesmerizing as we got to snorkel and discovery the various life-forms and geological features.
The second adventure was a visit to ancient Mayan ruins. Particularly, the monumental ruin named the Chichen Itza, which stands out in my mind for its unique characteristic of casting the shadow of a serpent that is only visible during the spring equinox.
Finally, when I think of Mexico, I picture the various vendors and artists on the street that are constantly in attempt to force their product on you and always willing to bargain.
